Update on life...

It has been a long time since I have updated. Sophia is almost 9 months old now!! I cannot believe it!!! Our little baby is growing up so fast!!She truly is a blessing though! She is not crawling or walking yet but she is trying to. She babbles now, not saying words yet but she tries to talk. It is so cute!! She has two teeth so far but we think she is working on two more...we shall see. So that is what is going on with our little ladybug...I will post some pictures of her.

Now to me. I graduated with my AA in April. YAY!!! I'm excited! I  thought I wanted to be a teacher but now I am going to be a nurse. I would like to be a labor and delivery nurse. So I start back to school in August to get my ASRN. I have 7 classes to finish my pre-recs for the nursing program at Seminole State. Their nursing program is a 22 month program. I'm excited to start that as well. I'm really excited that I have a degree. Neither one of my parents have a degree so I feel like I broke the cycle. I am proud of my mother...even though she doesn't have a degree she always finds a way to make it. She is so strong.  I never knew how much she loved(s) me till I had a baby, now I understand. Okay so now that I have had a baby and have a degree now it is time to get in shape! I should have done this LONG ago ( I never should have let my weight and health get this bad!!)!! I currently weigh 259 pounds and I'm 5 feet 7 inches. Now I know what you are thinking...OMG she must look huge. The truth of it is I don't look like I weigh as much as I do, it isn't an excuse to weigh as much as I do (I know how hard the weight is on my body...I can feel it). So it's time to transform myself. Starting tomorrow...er...today I'm making a change...today is the first day of the rest of my life!! My goal is to lose 100 pounds. I would like to do this in a year. That is a healthy about of weight to lose in a year. I can do it!! I want to get healthy!! I NEED to get healthy!!! Not just for myself but for my daughter!! I want to be around to continue to watch her grow!!! I want to see her graduate from high school and college, get married, and have children of her own. If I keep on the path I have been on there is a big chance that I will not get to see those things. I don't want that. So here it goes...I'm going to do this. I know it is a slow process, I know it is going to be hard, but that just means that it is going to be worth it!!!
